Text der Herausgeberin und Fotografin zum Buch:
This book „has many words and comparatively few photographs. Even though I’m a photographer, i feel that a photograph without words cannot describe the sadness and, at times, tortured lives of those suffering from mental illness – whether it be the individual afflicted with mental illness or that person’s family and friends. I believe these stories communicate how mental illness manifests itself in live. I learned much from checklists that professionals showed me about my daughter’s illness, but i learned more from sharing and hearing stories from ordinary people.“
